At Whitsun I visited Rome.

Sitting on the stairs of a fountain in front of the famous Pantheon, I did a little sketch of this woman. It was terribly hot and nobody wanted to buy meet or sausages.

Pfingstsonntag in Rom, ich saß auf den Stufen des Brunnens vor dem Pantheon und machte eine schnelle Skizze von der Verkäuferin. Sie verschwand alle paar Minuten im Laden, aber wenn sie wieder auftauchte, nahm sie wieder denselben Platz ein. Sie hob sich so schön vom dunklen Hintergrund ab.

The other day in India...

...unfortunately not, just a trip to the zoo at Hannover. The animals are living in a sort of jungle palace, a nice background for animal sketches, no fences.

Nein, in Indien war ich leider nicht, nur im Zoo Hannover. Nettes Ambiente für Zooskizzen, so ohne Gitter und graue Betonkäfige. Im Dschungelpalast leben asiatische Elefanten, Hulman-Affen, sibirische Tiger und persische Leoparden. Merkt ja keiner.
